One of the many communities settled by pioneers back in 1850, Pleasant Grove is a quaint city now home to over 35,000 residents. In a beautiful area known as “Utah’s City of Trees,” Pleasant Grove sits along the mountain’s edge between Lindon and American Fork.
Although a smaller city, Pleasant Grove is in close proximities to all the features and attractions of cities from American Fork to Provo. The city is well-known known for its unique summer festival, Strawberry Days, the longest continuing celebration in Utah. Held in June, Strawberry Days invites residents from all around to come enjoy the parade, activities, rodeo, and more.
Aside from summer events, there is a substantial array of programs and activities all year long. The new recreation center offers child, youth, and adult sport programs, including football, wrestling, basketball, volleyball, and gymnastics. They have numerous academic and extracurricular programs to choose from as well, such as chess, martial arts, cooking, etc. There are so many ways to stay active and participate in the community.
Pleasant Grove is part of the biggest school district in Utah, the Alpine School District. Within city limits, there are five elementary schools, one junior high, and one high school. There is also a preparatory school, a charter school, and several preschools. A majority of the schools are nationally ranked so you can rest assure that students will get a competitive education.
