First settled back in 1851, Santaquin has retained the charms of a rural town with less than 10,000 residents. And as newer housing developments go up, but with much more affordable prices than neighboring cities, locals love to call Santaquin home

Despite its smaller size, there is plenty to do in Santaquin. The annual Orchard Days is a week-long celebration in August that includes family festivities such as a parade, carnival, rodeo, and scavenger hunt, just to name a few.

Rowley’s Red Barn is a popular local attraction for families and couples with its corn maze, tractor rides, giant sandbox, hay pyramid, and ice cream parlor. Their country store also sells fresh fruits, jams, popcorns, and other local goods.

With fewer residents, everyone can participate in the city’s sport programs, such as karate, basketball, zumba, wrestling, volleyball, and more.

Santaquin is within the Nebo School District boundaries. As part of a smaller community, students benefit from lower student-to-teacher ratios. The city itself has three elementary schools and several preschools, and the junior high and high school are located in the neighboring city of Payson.
